Bespoke Cheese made in Belfast

 

Milk from cows grazing on the Castlereagh Hills is hand crafted into a range of Italian style fresh cheeses.

Velocheese currently offers fresh local Mozzarella, Stracciatella, Scamorza and Maple wood smoked Scamorza.

Italians like to eat their mozzarella as fresh as possible. We can make your mozzarella to order so that is produced for when you wish to eat it. Hence, Velocheese: the bespoke cheese.

Velocheese is passionate about the environment and aims to become a carbon neutral and zero plastic business.

Davide Tani

Davide, founder of Velocheese, is originally from Cagliari in Sardinia, Italy.

He has been based in Belfast with his Northern Irish born wife since 2015. Being close to high quality agricultural producers has been one of the highlights of living in Northern Ireland.

He studied cheesemaking under a Master Cheesemaker in Puglia, the home of cows milk Mozzarella, with the aim of bringing a taste of his homeland to Northern Ireland.

He also brings his twin passions of engineering and cycling to Velocheese with the aim of becoming a carbon neutral and zero plastic business.
